이번 EnM 31권 3호에는 7 편의 종설, 그리고 10편의 원저, 1편의 brief report가 실렸습니다. 인제 의대 노정현 교수님께서 “The Diabetes Epidemic in Korea”  라는 제목으로 국민건강영양조사 자료 및 국민건강보험공단자료를 바탕으로 우리나라에 당뇨병 관련 역학에 대해서 알려주셨습니다. 강북삼성병원 이원영 교수님께서는 “Insulin Secretory Capacity and Insulin Resistance in Korean Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients”  라는 제목으로 지난 30년간 우리나라에서 당뇨병이 증가하는데 인슐린저항성 증가가 기여하며, 인슐린 분비능과 인슐린 저항성과 관련된 국내 여러 연구결과를 정리해서 발표해 주셨습니다. 하버드 대학의 Mantzoros교수님께서 “Novel Molecules Regulating Energy Homeostasis: Physiology and Regulation by Macronutrient Intake and Weight Loss” 제목으로 energy homeostasis에 관여하는 novel molecules (FGF-21, chemerin, irisin등)에 대해서 리뷰해 주셨습니다.

  이번 호에는 특히 갑상선 관련 종설 4편이 실렸으며, 갑상선 결절 및 갑상선암 진료가이드라인, 자가면역성 갑상선 질환 치료, 임신 시에 갑상선 질환 치료, 갑상선 수질암 치료와 관련된 최신 지견이 실려있습니다.

  연구논문으로 강북삼성병원 이은정 교수님께서 “Eligibility for Statin Treatment in Koeran Subjects with Reduced renal function: An observational study”  라는 제목으로 신장기능이 떨어진 사람에서 여러 콜레스테롤 치료 가이드라인에 따른 Statin eligibility에 대한 연구 결과를 발표하였습니다. 아산병원 전민지 선생님께서 “Comparison of Thyroglobulin Measurements using Three different Immnunoassay Kits” 라는 제목으로 최근 사용이 가능한 Second generation Tg immuometric assays법의 유용성에 대해서 시행한 연구결과를 발표하였습니다. 이 밖에도 다양한 내분비 영역에서 연구 논문들이 원저로서 이번 호에 실렸습니다. 회원 여러분의 많은 관심 부탁드립니다.
